Technical Sales Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

Our client, a renewable energy solutions company, is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to drive growth in solar and mini‑grid projects across Nigeria. The role combines business development, technical assessment, and partnership management to expand clean power access.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and financing of solar mini‑grid projects, including feasibility studies and stakeholder engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulators, financiers, EPC partners, equipment suppliers and local communities.
• Prepare and submit proposals, RFP responses, concept notes and business cases for energy projects.
• Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate project viability, cost estimates and technical requirements.
• Design and execute go‑to‑market strategies for new solar products and services.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences and stakeholder forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in business development, project management or commercial operations within the solar or power sector.
• Proven track record in mini‑grid project development and stakeholder management.
• Strong negotiation, communication and presentation abilities.
