Technical Field Advisor

About the role

The Technical Field Advisor will act as Siemens Energy's on‑site technical and administrative representative in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The role focuses on preventive and scheduled maintenance, call‑out services, and commissioning of gas turbine product lines and packages.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all company and customer safety policies, participate in safety meetings and suggest improvements.
• Execute maintenance according to company standards and manufacturer guidelines, identifying issues early to avoid downtime.
• Provide accurate, timely reports, maintain equipment records and communicate with supervisors and customers.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities, ensure parts and personnel availability, and coordinate with operations to minimise downtime.
• Analyse and resolve technical problems with minimal supervision, supporting operations and maintenance teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with gas turbines and rotating equipment.
• Computer literacy with MS Windows Suite and basic electronic hardware handling.
• Experience with recognized gas‑turbine product lines or extensive work as a gas‑turbine engineer.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualifications.
• Proven experience in on‑shore/off‑shore environments; deep knowledge of rotating equipment packages is an asset.
