Technical Advisor II – Health System Strengthening

About the role

The Technical Advisor II – Health System Strengthening will provide technical leadership for the Faith And Community Initiative (FCI) in Nigeria, ensuring that faith‑based and community health services are fully coordinated and integrated into national health systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical implementation of FCI activities that integrate community and frontline health worker platforms into Ministry of Health structures.
• Oversee the integration of hub‑and‑spoke service delivery models at community, facility, district and national levels.
• Strengthen governance, supervision, quality assurance, supply‑chain and workforce systems to align with national guidelines.
• Develop and support workforce development plans, payroll systems and training frameworks for health workers.
• Collaborate with government agencies, faith‑based organizations and civil‑society partners to ensure sustainable, country‑owned health services.

Required profile

• Nigerian national.
• Proven experience in health system strengthening and integration of community health services.
• Familiarity with Ministry of Health structures and national health policies.
• Experience managing hub‑and‑spoke models or similar integrated service delivery approaches.
• Ability to provide technical leadership across multiple administrative levels.
