Sustainability Analyst – ESG & Decarbonisation

About the role

The Sustainability Analyst will monitor, analyse and forecast ESG and climate performance for Dangote Cement Plc operations at a corporate level. The role provides in‑depth reporting on sustainability KPIs, tracks industry developments and supports strategic decisions to enhance environmental and social outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with plant operations and cross‑functional teams to implement sustainability performance targets and track progress.
• Analyse emerging ESG issues and develop actionable plans with leadership.
• Plan and execute stakeholder engagements, producing decision‑useful ESG data and reports.
• Support sustainability reporting aligned with IFRS S1/S2, GRI, UNGC, CDP and other frameworks.
• Coordinate the decarbonisation programme, including training and compliance with reduction action plans.
• Utilise carbon accounting and ESG software to streamline data collection, ensure integrity and meet reporting deadlines.
• Manage sustainability campaigns and ESG initiatives with measurable impact.
• Assist Sustainability Leads in plants with capacity building and performance target delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of corporate sustainability experience in a large manufacturing organisation.
• At least 3 years of sustainability reporting using global standards.
• 2+ years of GHG accounting experience.
• Strong analytical abilities and teamwork orientation.
