Surveyor – Hybrid (Lagos)

About the role

Oilserv Limited is seeking an experienced Surveyor to join its Lagos team on a hybrid basis. The role involves carrying out surveying and supervision in line with industry standards, supporting EPCIC projects in the oil and gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise on‑site survey teams, delegating tasks while retaining overall accountability.
• Work closely with civil engineers to establish required levels and ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Conduct physical inspections, interpret technical drawings, and verify that survey works follow AFC designs.
• Manage survey budgets, instruments and maintain accurate records of equipment such as total stations and auto levels.
• Collect, analyse and present geographic data, prepare daily and close‑out reports, and produce as‑built documentation.
• Ensure health, safety, quality and environmental standards are met throughout the project.
• Coordinate with project management to resolve survey‑related issues and support timely project delivery.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Surveying & Geomatics.
• 8‑10 years of surveying experience, with at least 5 years in oil & gas projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage budgets on complex EPCIC assignments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with survey software and equipment (Total Station, Auto Level, steel & vinyl tape).
• Strong GIS and geographic data acquisition, processing and presentation capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering designs.
• Budget management and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of occupational health, safety and environmental regulations.
