Storekeeper

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Storekeeper to manage inventory and supplies for CarePoint Hospitals in Lagos. The role involves receiving, storing, and issuing medical supplies while ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect supplies, verifying quantities and specifications against approved documents.
• Maintain accurate records of stock received, issued, transferred, and on hand.
• Arrange, label, and store items for easy identification and accessibility.
• Monitor stock levels and alert supervisors when replenishment is needed.
• Issue supplies to departments based on authorised requisitions.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
• Apply FIFO/FEFO rotation practices and monitor expiry dates.
• Identify and report damaged, expired, missing, or obsolete items.
• Maintain a clean, secure, and well‑organised store environment.
• Prepare regular inventory reports and assist with internal and external audits.

Required profile

• OND in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management or logistics, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Good knowledge of stock control procedures and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational, record‑keeping and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, accountability and ability to work independently with various departments.
