Store Keeper – Hospitality Inventory Management

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Store Keeper to oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of inventory for our hospitality operations. The role involves managing food, beverage, housekeeping, engineering, and other operational supplies while maintaining accurate stock records.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Organise and store inventory in designated dry, chilled, and frozen areas using proper storage practices.
• Issue stock to departments based on approved requisition forms and update inventory records.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
• Monitor stock levels, track expiry dates and apply FIFO/FEFO methods.
• Minimise losses, wastage and pilferage through strict inventory control.
• Maintain documentation such as Goods Received Notes, stock cards and inventory reports.
• Coordinate with procurement on deliveries, shortages, damaged goods and supplier discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards and secure store access.

Required profile

• Minimum OND, HND or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Store Keeper, Inventory Officer or similar role in a hotel, restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, stock control procedures and FIFO/FEFO methods.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with inventory management software.
