STEM Trainee – Sustainable Energy Project (Nigeria)

About the role

The STEM Trainee will join the Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) team, hosted by UNOPS, to support energy access initiatives in Nigeria. Working under the Programme Manager for Gender & Youth, the trainee will gain hands‑on experience at the intersection of sustainable energy, finance, and policy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for gender‑ and youth‑responsive energy activities.
• Assist in coordinating meetings, resources, and implementation steps for energy‑focused projects.
• Participate in energy audits, site visits, and needs‑assessment missions across Nigeria.
• Support data analysis for energy planning and the operationalisation of renewable‑energy financing mechanisms.
