Special Needs Teacher – Inclusive Education

About the role

Our client, a leading provider of special needs education, is looking for compassionate Special Needs Teachers to deliver individualized instruction to children with autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, and other developmental challenges. The role focuses on creating inclusive learning environments that promote academic, social, and life‑skill development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each student’s abilities and goals.
• Deliver engaging lessons using appropriate teaching strategies and adapted curriculum materials.
• Monitor, assess, and document academic, social, emotional, and behavioral progress.
• Implement behavior management and positive reinforcement techniques.
• Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, parents, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate student records, reports, and progress documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal setting and progress reviews.
• Provide regular feedback to parents and caregivers.

Required profile

• Minimum NCE, HND, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Child Development or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication, observation, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency for record keeping and reporting.
