Social Media Manager

About the role

A Social Media Manager position based in Nigeria is open to candidates who can expand a brand's presence across social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok, and turn content into engaging posts.

Key responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photos and videos and edit them for posting on the social media platform.
• Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement and conversion.
• Cover events and other activities to create compelling visual narratives.
• Monitor social media trends, audience behaviour and competitor activity to find content opportunities.
• Plan and run campaigns, promotions and contests to meet marketing objectives.
• Respond to comments, messages and inquiries from followers in a timely, professional way.
• Work with the business development manager to keep brand messaging, tone and visual identity consistent across channels.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, platform updates and best practices.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Marketing or a relevant field.
• Proven work experience as a social media manager.
• Excellent copywriting skills and ability to deliver creative text, image and video content.
• Excellent communication, analytical and multitasking skills.

Required skills

• Content management and hands-on experience creating content.
• Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics.
• Knowledge of online marketing channels.
