Social Media Manager

About the role

DCA News Incorporated is looking for a proactive Social Media Manager to lead its digital presence across multiple platforms. You will shape and execute a social media strategy that supports the company’s tourism and travel objectives while engaging audiences in Nigeria and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals.
• Plan and execute content calendars for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Create, curate and publish engaging text, image, video and story content.
• Monitor and respond to comments, messages and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Analyze performance metrics, generate regular reports on engagement, reach and growth.
• Stay up‑to‑date with trends, tools and best practices in social media and digital marketing.
• Collaborate with marketing, design and content teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.
• Manage paid social media campaigns and advertising when required.
• Identify partnership, collaboration and influencer opportunities.
• Track competitor activity and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their algorithms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with social media management tools.
• Experience using analytics tools to measure performance.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Creativity, attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
