Social Media Intern (NYSC)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Social Media Intern to join our Marketing & Communications team in Lagos. You will support the Social Media Manager in creating, publishing, and analysing content across multiple platforms while gaining hands‑on experience in video production and digital marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Social Media Management: schedule and publish approved content on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok and YouTube; monitor comments, messages and mentions; engage with followers and escalate inquiries as needed.
• Video Editing: produce high‑quality reels, shorts, promotional videos and event coverage, adding captions, transitions, branding and music, and optimise each video for its platform.
• Digital Marketing Support: upload marketing materials, promote GIS training, drone services, webinars and corporate events, and assist with live‑event coverage.
• Analytics & Reporting: track reach, engagement, impressions, video views, follower growth and leads; prepare weekly and monthly performance reports and recommend improvements.
• Administrative Duties: maintain the content calendar, organise digital assets and participate in team meetings and knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Business Administration, English, Computer Science or a related field.

Required skills

• Social Media Management across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and YouTube.
• Video Editing for short‑form and promotional content.
• Analytics and reporting of social media performance metrics.
