Social Media Executive

About the role

A proactive and creative Social Media Executive is sought to help grow the company's online presence. The role is full-time and on-site in Akowonjo, Lagos, and suits a team player who takes initiative, understands social media performance and uses data and insights to create engaging content that supports business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to develop and execute social media strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Plan, create and publish engaging content across relevant social media platforms.
• Coordinate content ideas, campaigns and promotional activities with team members.
• Monitor social media trends, audience behaviour and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
• Track and analyse key metrics such as reach, engagement, impressions, follower growth, clicks and conversions.
• Prepare performance reports and give actionable recommendations.
• Monitor comments and messages and respond to the audience in a timely and professional way.
• Take initiative to improve the company's online presence and contribute ideas in team meetings.

Required profile

• OND, HND, Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any field.
• Demonstrable experience managing social media accounts or creating content for a brand, business or personal platform.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, content trends and audience engagement.
• Ability to interpret social media analytics and use performance data to guide content decisions.
• Good content creation, writing and communication skills.
• Proactive, results-oriented approach and willingness to learn; applicants living near Akowonjo are an added advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of content creation tools such as Canva, CapCut or similar.
• Strong teamwork, organisation and time management skills.
