SME Officer

About the role

The SME Officer will drive growth for Good Neighbours Microfinance Bank by identifying new business opportunities and managing the loan portfolio for small and medium‑enterprises. You will work closely with the sales team to meet revenue targets while ensuring excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new SME business opportunities and develop strategic marketing plans.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of deals to meet monthly disbursement and revenue goals.
• Respond promptly to customer enquiries on products and existing accounts.
• Monitor and manage loan portfolios to ensure timely repayment and mitigate credit risk.
• Prepare and submit activity reports, including daily call logs and weekly/monthly work plans.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Team Lead.

Required profile

• HND in Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in SME banking within a financial institution.
• Proven track record of sourcing and closing business loans with a quality portfolio.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
