Shutdown Project Manager – Oil & Gas (Port Harcourt)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Shutdown Project Manager to lead shutdown projects at oil & gas facilities in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The role is a technical support contract and involves planning, coordinating and delivering shutdown activities safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute shutdown projects from preparation through completion.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and budgetary constraints.
• Supervise multidisciplinary teams across maintenance and construction scopes.
• Manage technical disciplines including Pressure Vessels, Structural works and vessel‑related equipment.
• Develop work‑packs, oversee fabrication, site installation and execution.
• Maintain project schedules, resource allocation plans and progress reporting.
• Handle invoicing, cost tracking, site mobilization and demobilization.
• Supervise subcontractors and manage workforce logistics.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of shutdown or project management experience in oil & gas or similar industrial sectors.
• Proven background in maintenance and multidisciplinary projects, especially PVV, structural and vessel works.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced shutdown environments.
