Service Manager - West Africa

About the role

The Assistant General Manager – Aftermarket & Service will lead KOEL’s aftermarket operations for gensets and industrial engines across Nigeria. The role focuses on driving service excellence, expanding spare‑parts sales, growing Annual Maintenance Contracts, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Drive aftermarket revenue by increasing spare‑parts penetration, expanding AMC business, and developing overhaul and major‑repair opportunities.
• Lead nationwide service operations, improve response times, equipment uptime, and implement preventive‑maintenance programmes.
• Establish service KPIs, dashboards and performance‑monitoring systems to optimise engineer deployment and productivity.
• Strengthen dealer capabilities through technical training, monitor dealer performance, and ensure availability of critical spare parts.
• Manage strategic accounts in telecom, banking, oil & gas, infrastructure and manufacturing, handling escalations and driving contract renewals.
• Oversee warranty claims, conduct root‑cause analysis and coordinate with OEM technical teams to reduce warranty costs.
• Optimise inventory forecasting, procurement planning and working‑capital management for spare parts.
