Service Engineer (Compressor Specialist)

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Service Engineer who will act as the Subject Matter Expert for compressor technology in our CNG operations. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, overhauling, commissioning and optimizing gas compression systems to ensure reliable and efficient plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support during compressor breakdowns and emergency failures.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and operational issues; conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Lead major compressor overhauls, shutdown maintenance and refurbishments; supervise inspections, testing and condition monitoring.
• Support preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs and recommend upgrades to improve availability and efficiency.
• Commission new compressor installations, perform startup and performance verification, and validate equipment after maintenance.
• Liaise with OEMs, vendors and contractors to resolve technical issues and review engineering drawings and manuals.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance recommendations and service documentation for stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of hands‑on experience with reciprocating and screw compressors in CNG/LNG or industrial gas facilities.
• Strong background in gas processing equipment, high‑pressure systems and equipment reliability programs.
• Proven ability to lead overhauls, conduct RCA and drive continuous improvement.
