About the role
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to collaborate with the team and support the Local Coordinator / Head of Department in planning and executing design and vetting activities. The role involves working on a variety of infrastructure projects in Abuja.
Key responsibilities
- Design and vetting of structural calculations for bridges, flyovers, culverts, stations and ancillary buildings, using concrete and steel systems.
- Assess and evaluate existing structures.
- Prepare design briefs, technical reports, structural analysis and calculations.
- Vetting and checking of structural designs prepared by third parties.
- Prepare technical reports on design drawings and technical comments.
- Attend interactive technical meetings with third parties.
- Supervise, assess, train and mentor other staff.
- Visit project sites as required, coordinating with the Work Supervision Team.
Required profile
- Senior Structural Engineer level.
- Ability to supervise, assess, train and mentor other staff.
