Senior Software Engineer (On-site, Ikorodu)

About the role

BAFF is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join its Lagos team on-site in Ikorodu. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core backend services that power both offline and online financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, secure backend APIs and services.
• Write clean, testable code and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Optimize existing systems for high availability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and documentation of critical services.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science and software development principles.
• Proven experience building backend systems for high‑availability environments, preferably fintech.
• Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams and guide less‑experienced engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
