Senior Project Manager (Real Estate Development)

About the role

A real estate developer based in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee several real estate development projects. The role involves driving project delivery, managing budgets, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget. Site rotations across ongoing projects are required.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of multiple construction projects from structural works through to completion.
• Develop and implement project schedules, recovery plans and delivery timelines.
• Manage procurement, negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors and source materials cost-effectively.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow and resource allocation with the finance team.
• Coordinate site engineers, contractors, consultants and HSE personnel.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies to obtain approvals and ensure compliance.
• Identify risks and put in place mitigation strategies.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and present updates to executive management.
• Ensure quality, safety and regulatory standards are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• At least 7-10 years of construction project management experience, including 5 years managing mid-rise or high-rise developments in Lagos.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering large-scale construction projects.
• Experience managing projects under cash-flow constraints and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Preferred: PMP certification, COREN registration or NIQS membership.

Required skills

• Construction planning, budgeting, procurement and contract administration.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar project management software (preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
