Senior Product Designer - Design System

About the role

Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Designer specialized in Design Systems to shape the visual foundation of its fintech products. You will own the component libraries, interaction models, and design tokens that power a suite of web and mobile applications used by millions across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high‑quality UI standards for layout, typography, colour, spacing, and visual hierarchy across reusable elements.
• Design, build, and evolve robust component libraries (buttons, inputs, cards, navigation, forms, tables, etc.) that scale across products.
• Define interaction and motion guidelines, including hover, focus, disabled, loading, and mobile behaviours.
• Structure and manage design tokens to ensure consistency between design tools and production code.
• Organise complex Figma libraries with variants, properties, and auto‑layout to enable rapid design delivery.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate designs into clean, reusable, and accessible code for Web (React), Flutter, Android, and iOS.
• Create comprehensive documentation and usage guidelines for all components.

Required profile

• Proven track record building and scaling production‑ready design systems.
• Deep understanding of cross‑platform constraints for Web, iOS, and Android.
• Systems‑thinking mindset with a portfolio showing impact across multiple products.
• Strong familiarity with how developers inspect, build, and consume components.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including libraries and auto‑layout.
• Experience with React, Flutter, Android, and iOS/Native development environments.
• Expertise in design token management and component architecture.
