About the role

Layer3 is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join its Abuja team. You will lead the design, implementation and support of advanced network services for enterprise customers across West Africa.

Key responsibilities

Provide hands‑on engineering support for switching and routing technologies (BGP, OSPF, MPLS/VPLS, STP variants, VLANs, VPN, DMVPN, SDN, etc.).
Analyse and troubleshoot network failures, bottlenecks and system logs.
Configure LAN/WAN/WLAN links, MPLS L2VPN, VSI/L2VC and ensure high‑availability (VRRP/HSRP).
Supervise IP/MPLS service installations, testing and hand‑over.
Develop automation tools and internal systems for network maintenance.
Participate in network planning, topology design for Core/Access/Metro/Edge infrastructures.
Support digital transformation initiatives using Cloud, Security, Big‑Data, IoT, SD‑WAN and related technologies.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Extensive experience in enterprise networking, preferably in a senior or lead role.
Proven ability to design, configure and maintain large‑scale LAN, WAN and wireless networks.
Willingness to be on‑call for critical network incidents.
