Senior Mechanic

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanic to lead the maintenance of construction machinery, diesel generators, vehicles, and auxiliary systems across multiple sites. The role combines hands‑on technical work with supervision of local teams to ensure continuous, reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise mechanical and electromechanical maintenance activities.
• Maintain construction equipment, diesel generators, fleet vehicles, and related mechanical/auxiliary systems.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance programmes and coordinate breakdown interventions.
• Diagnose faults, perform troubleshooting, and carry out repairs.
• Coordinate, supervise, and train local mechanics and technicians.
• Oversee spare‑parts inventory, workshop operations, and supplier relationships.
• Prepare technical reports for management.
• Provide technical support during the mobilisation of new sites or operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in general mechanical or industrial maintenance.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or Senior Mechanic.
• Previous work in Africa or the Middle East.
• Ability to work in challenging environments with limited resources.
• Strong leadership, adaptability, and a solution‑oriented mindset.
