Senior Manager, Healthy Heart Africa Equity

About the role

You will join a high‑performing Policy, Advocacy and Health Equity team within AstraZeneca’s Global Corporate Affairs function, leading the Healthy Heart Africa programme across West Africa. The role focuses on implementing health‑equity strategies, building partnerships, and delivering community healthcare programmes for underserved patients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and successful implementation of the Healthy Heart Africa programme alongside NGO partners across West Africa.
• Work with policymakers, healthcare professionals and patient advocacy organisations to support capacity and capability‑building activities.
• Provide mentorship, coaching and guidance to NGO partners on ground activities.
• Lead partnership strategy and delivery with governments and NGOs to ensure programme alignment with shared objectives.

Required profile

• Self‑starter experienced in public‑private partnerships and hands‑on delivery of community healthcare programmes.
• Strong background in public health, government affairs, healthcare policy and strategic programme management.
• Passion for advancing health equity within the pharmaceutical industry.
