Senior Manager, Capital Formation & Commercial Partnerships

About the role

NCDF Group is seeking an experienced finance and commercial professional to lead investor engagement for the recapitalisation of NCDF Capital Markets Limited and to drive business development across NCDF Capital & Commercial Solutions. The role suits someone with a verifiable fundraising record, trusted relationships across Nigeria's investor and business communities, and the leadership ability to turn those relationships into completed investments and paying client mandates.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the recapitalisation fundraising strategy, including investor identification, qualification, engagement and negotiations.
• Build relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, business owners, strategic investors and suitable institutions.
• Coordinate investor presentations, due diligence and transaction completion with Finance, Legal, Compliance and relevant advisers.
• Generate commercial opportunities across NCDF's Prepare, Raise, Invest and Grow service pathways, directing mandates to the appropriate delivery company.
• Lead and develop the team, maintaining clear targets for capital raised, signed mandates, collected revenue and client retention.

Required profile

• Substantial experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private capital, wealth management or commercial banking, ideally 12 years or more, including leadership responsibility.
• A proven personal contribution to completed equity fundraising or comparable capital transactions.
• Strong, active relationships within investor networks, professional associations and business communities in Nigeria.
• Ability to explain investment propositions, assess commercial opportunities and negotiate credible terms.
• Experience building teams and turning business development activity into measurable financial results.
• A relevant degree; CFA, CIS, ICAN, ACCA, CIBN or an equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
• High standards of integrity, discretion and regulatory awareness.
• Candidates must be able to distinguish their own contribution from their former employer's overall transaction record and provide appropriate references; deposit-attracting experience should be supported by evidence of relevant equity-investment or transaction experience.
