Senior Litigation and Compliance Associate

About the role

The Senior Litigation and Compliance Associate will join a collaborative team of lawyers to deliver comprehensive legal solutions, draft and review a variety of legal documents, conduct in‑depth legal research, and represent clients in court and other proceedings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice and solutions across litigation and compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation sessions.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while prioritising tasks effectively.
• Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through clear communication and timely updates.

Required profile

• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical abilities.
• Expertise in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
• Excellent verbal and written communication with proven client‑engagement skills.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Property Law, Corporate Litigation, compliance, and contract negotiations.
• Ability to work well in a team, solve problems, and handle a demanding workload.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); professional certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with business practices and legal regulations in Nigeria and internationally.
