Senior Legal Associate (Fintech/Payments)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing fintech company, is looking for a Senior Legal Associate to ensure that its payment products and business operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards. You will work closely with the Head of Legal and support multiple functions—including fraud, HR, finance, sales, product, engineering and customer support—while driving scalable legal workflows in a high‑growth environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements such as merchant, partner, NDA and vendor contracts.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, clause libraries and playbooks to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Maintain organized, audit‑ready contract repositories and documentation systems.
• Provide corporate governance, legal operations and litigation support across the organization.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives and manage multiple legal projects to meet tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Law degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience in the financial services or payments sector is a strong asset.
• Tech‑savvy, comfortable with Microsoft Office and legal‑tech platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments.
