Senior HR/Admin Manager

About the role

The Senior HR/Admin Manager will lead the development of HR policies, oversee payroll and compliance, and manage administrative functions across multiple sites for a fast‑growing construction and engineering consultancy. Reporting to the Head of Finance & Administration and the Managing Directors, the role blends strategic planning with hands‑on execution in a project‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and frameworks aligned with business objectives.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle – recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and exits.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR data systems and generate regular HR reports.
• Coordinate payroll processing with Finance and ensure compliance with Nigerian statutory obligations (PAYE, Pension, NHF, NSITF, etc.).
• Administer leave, staff documentation, expatriate immigration processes and oversee office facilities.
• Act as a liaison between senior management and staff, providing guidance on labour law and employee relations.
• Support project teams with HR and administrative needs and contribute to workforce planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 84 months (7 years) of progressive HR experience, preferably in construction or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour legislation and statutory compliance.
• Proven ability to manage payroll, employee records and HR reporting.
• Experience supervising administrative functions across multiple locations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under tight project deadlines.
