Senior Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead financial operations, reporting, and compliance in a fast‑paced remote environment. The role supports a UK‑based company, requiring strong knowledge of HMRC regulations, PAYE, and VAT.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and update weekly and monthly cash‑flow forecasts.
• Prepare and manage monthly P&L statements and comprehensive financial reporting packages.
• Analyse financial performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Oversee day‑to‑day bookkeeping, AR/AP processing and data entry.
• Manage the finance inbox, escalating issues as needed.
• Enter and organise invoices, bills and payment records; reconcile bank, credit‑card and account statements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely payment processing and maintain organized financial records.
• Assist with payroll preparation and ad‑hoc finance and operations projects.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting or financial operations.
• Proven track record managing bookkeeping, AR/AP, reconciliations and reporting.
• Hands‑on experience preparing and managing P&L statements.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment and align with UK business hours.
• Professional written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets for reporting and modelling.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights.
