Senior Business Development Manager

About the role

Asopo is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to own commercial relationships for its Pulse platform across African markets. You will be responsible for finding new customers, onboarding them, retaining accounts and driving growth.

Key responsibilities

• Run the sales pipeline: qualify inbound leads, prospect outbound, and close deals from first call to signed agreement.
• Collaborate with Marketing on events, sales enablement assets, market positioning and campaigns.
• Own signed accounts: onboarding, renewals, fee negotiations and handling difficult conversations around defaults.
• Price the solution: build quotes for platform fees, per‑account fees and implementation fees, and know when to walk away.
• Work with the delivery team to translate customer requests into features, set realistic road‑maps and pricing.
• Negotiate contracts in French for customers in DRC, Madagascar, Togo and other francophone markets.

Required profile

• Experience in customer success, account management or sales at a software company serving lenders or distributors in Africa.
• Background in bank credit operations or PAYG field teams is a plus.
• Proven track record of closing deals, managing renewals and handling pricing negotiations.
• Ability to discuss technical features with both credit committees and field managers.

Required skills

• Fluent French (negotiation and contract drafting).
• Strong sales pipeline management and quoting skills.
