Senior Associate Pharmacist

About the role

Reliance Health is seeking a Senior Associate Pharmacist to lead day‑to‑day operations at one or more Relarex pharmacy locations in Lagos. The role blends clinical pharmacy practice with team leadership and operational management to ensure patients receive safe, accurate, and timely medication services.

Key responsibilities

• Review, prepare, and dispense prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Provide medication counselling and ensure patients understand proper use.
• Support resolution of complex medication issues, including drug interactions.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other health professionals to optimise medication use.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Associate Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
• Monitor pharmacy performance metrics such as dispensing accuracy, turnaround time, and patient satisfaction.
• Identify training needs and drive continuous team development.
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria regulations and company policies.
• Conduct quality audits, investigate medication incidents, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of prescriptions, errors, and adverse events.
• Oversee medicine inventory, ensuring proper stock management and storage.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of pharmacy experience.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise pharmacy staff.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian pharmacy regulations (PCN).
• Excellent communication and patient‑focused service orientation.
