Security Officer – Hospital

About the role

The Security Officer will safeguard the Aniso Specialist Medical Centre by controlling access, monitoring premises, and responding to emergencies. This full‑time, onsite position ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff, and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Check identification and verify authorized entry at all hospital gates and restricted areas.
• Maintain a secured gate, opening and closing it promptly for safe entry and exit of patients, visitors, staff, and vehicles.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior spaces and surrounding grounds to identify and prevent security risks.
• Monitor, report, and respond to suspicious activities, security breaches, and safety concerns.
• React to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire, theft, or disturbances, coordinating with relevant personnel.
• Manage visitor registration and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Protect hospital property, equipment, patient belongings, and other assets from theft, vandalism, or damage.
• Assist with crowd control during high‑traffic periods or emergencies.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, security logs, and related documentation.
• Provide reasonable assistance to patients, visitors, and staff, including safely wheeling patients when required.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE qualification.
• Previous security experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Calm and professional demeanor during emergencies.
• Physically fit for extended standing, walking, and patrolling.
• Honest, trustworthy, alert, and dependable.
• Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
