Sales Specialist – Business Development Officer

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Specialist who will act as a Business Development Officer, driving growth in the healthcare and laboratory equipment market across Nigeria. The role involves identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships and delivering sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research potential clients and partners, generate qualified leads and convert them using a consultative sales approach.
• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and negotiations, and prepare tailored proposals, quotations and tender documents.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, provide after‑sales support and act as liaison with internal teams.
• Perform market research and competitor analysis, feed insights to management and collaborate on marketing campaigns and events.
• Meet or exceed sales and revenue targets, produce regular performance reports and accurate forecasts.
• Negotiate contract terms, ensure compliance with company policies and follow up on payments with the finance team.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc. in Marketing, Business Administration, Sciences or a related field.
• 1–3 years (up to 4 years) of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the healthcare or laboratory equipment sector.
• Proven ability to generate leads, close deals and manage client accounts.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
