Sales Development Representative Graduate Trainee

About the role

CloudPlexo is seeking an ambitious graduate to join its Lagos or Abuja office as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Graduate Trainee. This entry‑level position is designed to launch a career in technology sales, acting as the first point of contact for prospective clients and supporting senior sales and consulting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify target prospects across industries using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM platforms and market databases.
• Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting – cold calls, personalised emails and social selling.
• Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, webinars and events and route them to the appropriate sales team members.
• Book discovery meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives and Solutions Consultants.
• Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions in the CRM.
• Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on campaign quality and messaging.
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for outreach activity, qualified leads and booked meetings.
• Participate in the graduate training programme, including sales methodology workshops and technical foundation courses.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (or final‑year student) with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence to engage senior decision‑makers.
• Genuine interest in technology, especially cloud computing, cybersecurity and AI.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and comfortable handling rejection.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Coachability and eagerness to learn.
