Safety & Quality Manager

About the role

Aura Assurance, a Nigerian aviation consultancy, is seeking a Safety & Quality Manager on a contract basis. The role is hybrid, based in Lagos with both on‑site client visits and remote work, focusing on enhancing aviation safety and quality systems for the firm and its clients.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor safety performance and analyse safety data to identify trends and risks.
• Review, update and enforce safety and quality policies in line with Nigerian and international aviation regulations.
• Coordinate audits, inspections and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support incident and accident investigations, providing root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Prepare and present safety reports and recommendations to internal teams, clients and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards such as NCAA, ICAO, IATA and EASA.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aviation safety management, including performance monitoring and risk assessment.
• Background in quality assurance, auditing and compliance within regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and standards (NCAA, ICAO, IATA, EASA or equivalents).
• Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, engineering, safety, quality management or related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a hybrid setting and adapt to changing operational needs.
