Safety Officer

About the role

The Safety Officer will lead health, safety and environmental (HSE) initiatives for Addoz Integrated Resources Limited’s manufacturing operations. The role ensures compliance with ISO 45001 and local regulations while fostering a strong safety culture across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures and ISO 45001 standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate accidents, prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE inductions, safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports and documentation.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and promote continuous improvement in safety performance.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in a relevant discipline.
• ISO Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certification.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Safety/HSE Officer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment and incident investigation.
• Excellent communication, reporting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage HSE functions autonomously.

Required skills

• ISO 45001 compliance knowledge.
• Lead Auditor/Lead Implementer certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
