Route to Market Officer – Trade & Channel Management

About the role

Dangote Cement Plc is seeking a motivated Route to Market Officer to strengthen its trade channels and retail presence in Jos. You will partner closely with sales and distribution teams to drive market coverage, merchandising, and increase the number of handlers for our cement products.

Key responsibilities

• Support commercial planning and activation by providing regional inputs, operational planning and measuring trade activity effectiveness.
• Implement central and regional trade initiatives to close volume gaps and achieve regional sales targets.
• Collaborate with Sales & Distribution on promotion execution and sales driver rollout.
• Develop and execute brand growth and channel strategies, including regional profiling and field accompaniment plans.
• Generate trade insights, identify customer priorities and support the Win At Retail (WAR) strategy.
• Lead market development projects to ensure superior brand positioning against competitors.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of relevant experience in trade marketing, channel management or sales support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Management Sciences, Marketing, Business Management or a related field.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
