Route to Market Officer

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Route to Market Officer to join Dangote Cement Plc in Jos. The role focuses on developing and executing strategies that optimise trade channels, increase outlet coverage and grow the number of handlers for our cement products.

Key responsibilities

• Support commercial planning and activation by providing regional inputs, operational planning and measuring the effectiveness of trade activities.
• Implement central and regional trade activities to close volume gaps within coverage.
• Collaborate with sales and distribution teams on the execution of promotions and sales drivers.
• Support customer marketing by developing brand growth drivers and channel strategies tailored to regional specifics.
• Identify key sales growth drivers and produce quarterly regional profiling reports.
• Develop and execute a field accompaniment plan to gather trade insights, customer priorities and growth opportunities.
• Work with regional teams to implement the Win At Retail (WAR) strategy.
• Participate in market development projects and ensure superior brand positioning against competition.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑6 years of relevant experience in trade marketing, channel management or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Management Sciences, Marketing, Business Management or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Proven ability to work closely with sales teams and regional stakeholders.
