Resource Mobilization Officer – Fixed-Term (NGO)

About the role

The Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organisation (WEWE) is seeking a Resource Mobilization Officer on a fixed‑term contract to lead fundraising and partnership initiatives that sustain its mission for widows, orphans, vulnerable women and children in Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute resource‑mobilization strategies, including crowdfunding campaigns and placement of donation boxes in strategic locations.
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities, write and submit grant proposals, and manage donor relationships.
• Coordinate fundraising events and digital initiatives such as YouTube monetization.
• Explore innovative income‑generation ideas to enhance organizational sustainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, international relations, public health, mass communication, business administration, English or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, donor engagement, business development or grant acquisition within NGOs, faith‑based or social enterprises.
• Demonstrated integrity, commitment to the mission, and ability to work collaboratively with local partners.
