Reliability Engineer III – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Oil & Gas Reliability Engineer III to lead reliability improvement initiatives and optimise equipment performance across our operations in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria. The role focuses on analysing performance data, managing production availability threats and supporting lifecycle asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead reliability improvement initiatives and optimise asset performance.
• Analyse equipment and unit performance data to identify reliability threats and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain and manage the production availability threats database.
• Benchmark equipment performance against industry standards and comparable facilities.
• Support lifecycle asset management, risk mitigation and loss elimination strategies.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on cause‑and‑effect methodology and reliability best practices.
• Resolve complex technical issues and provide expert reliability guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in reliability engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of asset reliability, maintenance strategies and lifecycle asset management.
• Advanced analytical and data manipulation skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership on complex engineering challenges.
• Demonstrated innovation, business acumen and a track record of delivering high‑value technical solutions.
