Regional Security Manager

About the role

The Regional Security Manager will strengthen safety and security risk management for CIPE programs, personnel, partners, and operations across Africa. Based in Lagos, the role reports to the Director of Security and works closely with regional hub and country teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor political, security, health, and operational developments that may affect CIPE personnel, partners, activities, or assets.
• Provide timely, practical guidance to leadership, regional teams, travelers, and implementing partners.
• Develop, update, and help implement security policies, procedures, plans, and training materials.
• Integrate security considerations into proposal development, project start‑up, and program implementation.
• Support hub and country offices in applying security plans, conduct risk assessments, and perform site surveys.
• Assist with regional security budgeting, procurement, and maintenance of safety and security equipment.
• Serve as regional point of contact for serious incidents, coordinate response with CIPE’s Incident Management and Crisis Management Teams.
• Analyze incident reports to identify trends, support business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis response activation.
• Maintain 24/7 availability to support critical incidents and crisis management.

Required profile

• Experience in security risk management and incident response.
• Willingness to travel regionally across Africa and be available 24/7 for critical incidents.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting with three days onsite per week.
