React Native App Developer (MERN Stack)

About the role

ATAfrica is looking for an experienced React Native App Developer with MERN stack and tech startup experience to help build its Android and iOS apps. The role covers the full lifecycle of mobile application development, from design and integration to testing and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, performant and user-friendly mobile applications using React Native.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to understand user requirements and build functional, visually appealing apps.
• Work with the backend team to integrate the mobile app with the server-side API.
• Oversee automated testing and give feedback to management during development.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Maintain and upgrade the software after deployment.
• Deliver new features and improvements through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Manage the end-to-end life cycle of software and applications.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc from a reputable university (minimum Second Class Upper 2:1).
• At least 1 year of post-NYSC work experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a React Native App Developer (MERN stack) for iOS and Android apps.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, entrepreneurial mindset.
• Experience in FinTech or WealthTech (trading, investment, electronic trading platforms or brokers) is a plus.
