Quantity Surveyor (QS) – Construction Projects

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor (QS) will manage all costs related to building and construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures. The role ensures projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards and contractual compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ).
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for projects.
• Monitor project costs and ensure financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers.
• Track project progress and prepare periodic financial reports.
• Assess and certify contractor’s interim and final payment claims.
• Manage variations, claims, and cost adjustments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Professional certification such as NIQS or RICS is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and cost management.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
