Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Specialist

About the role

Lumkalt Energy Limited is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its construction team in Port Harcourt. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project costs from inception to completion, ensuring accurate measurement, budgeting and financial control.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quantity take‑off and measurement for all project elements.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates.
• Develop and monitor project budgets, cost plans and cost‑control measures.
• Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids and support tender negotiations.
• Value work completed, certify interim payments and compile final accounts.
• Conduct risk assessments and cost‑analysis to identify savings opportunities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of construction methods, materials and industry standards.

Required profile

• Minimum B.Sc. degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Proven track record in cost estimation, budgeting and tender evaluation.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
