Quality Control & Assurance Manager

About the role

The Quality Control & Assurance Manager will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) for Jawa International Limited’s pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and Technical Director, the role ensures full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Nigerian regulatory bodies and internal quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the QMS in line with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC, PCN and other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Review and approve SOPs, batch manufacturing records and validation protocols.
• Investigate quality deviations, non‑conformances and customer complaints, driving CAPA actions.
• Oversee document control, change control and record‑keeping to guarantee data integrity and traceability.
• Coordinate staff training on GMP, quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor quality performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or Applied Chemistry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance/compliance or as a chemical/instrumental analyst in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of NAFDAC, PCN and other regulatory requirements.
