Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

Shalina Healthcare is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join its Global Supply Organization in Lagos. The role focuses on ensuring that raw materials, packaging, and finished products meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance throughout the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor raw material and packaging material dispensing activities.
• Perform daily IPQA activities according to SOPs, BMRs and BPRs and ensure timely resolution of observations and line clearance.
• Conduct validation sampling following approved protocols and review batch manufacturing records (BMRs/BPRs).
• Maintain real‑time documentation of in‑process checks and manage BSR and shipper inspections.
• Issue, review and reconcile departmental formats, including BMR and BPR issuance to production.
• Ensure cleaning, sanitation, hygiene and continuous GMP compliance across the plant.
• Verify and calibrate production and warehouse measuring equipment daily and keep accurate records.
• Assist in training industrial trainees and interns.
• Safeguard the quality and integrity of all GxP data and documentation.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in IPQA/QA within GMP‑regulated manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or a related life‑science discipline.

Required skills

• IPQA and manufacturing process monitoring.
• Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and data integrity.
• Batch record review (BMR/BPR) and line clearance.
• Validation sampling techniques.
• Documentation control and audit/inspection readiness.
• Regulatory compliance knowledge (NAFDAC, WHO‑GMP).
