Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

This is a full‑time hybrid role for a QA Engineer, based in Lagos. As we approach launch, quality is non‑negotiable — real money moves through our platform, and a bug in a bet slip, wallet, or cash‑out flow is a customer trust problem, not just a defect.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain automated test suites for API, web (React/Next.js) and mobile (React Native) surfaces.
• Own end‑to‑end test coverage for critical money flows such as deposits, withdrawals, bet placement, settlement and bonus crediting.
• Test real‑time, event‑driven behaviour including live odds updates, in‑play betting and copy‑bet execution.
• Build and manage test environments, simulate sportsbook events and settlement scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enforce quality gates on releases.

Required profile

• 3+ years of QA/test engineering experience, with at least 2 years in test automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to reproduce, document and triage bugs with clear severity assessment.
• Experience testing under real‑world Nigerian conditions such as flaky networks and low‑end Android devices.

Required skills

• Automation frameworks: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium.
• API testing tools: Postman, REST‑assured.
• SQL and PostgreSQL for data validation.
• Mobile testing on Android and iOS, including real‑device testing.
• CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Scripting languages: C#, TypeScript, Python.
