Public Relations Specialist – Health Programme

About the role

The Queen's Care and Empowerment Foundation (QCEF) is launching the Medically‑Tailored Nutrition Program (MTNP) across Abuja. We need a senior Public Relations Specialist to shape how the programme is perceived, reported and understood by the public, media and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the full publicity and communications strategy for MTNP from planning through launch and rollout.
• Secure national broadcast, print and digital coverage and nurture ongoing media relationships.
• Develop the messaging architecture, including launch narrative, press materials, spokesperson briefings and key messages.
• Position QCEF and its leadership as credible voices in health, nutrition and social impact.
• Collaborate with programme teams to translate field results into dignified, consent‑based stories.
• Enhance visibility for corporate, CSR, faith‑based and development partners.
• Anticipate and manage reputational risk within the health‑sector context.

Required profile

• Proven track record running publicity for high‑profile programmes, institutions or brands (senior‑level).
• Active, working relationships with Nigerian broadcast, print and digital media.
• Demonstrable coverage you have personally secured.
• Strong writing ability and sharp editorial judgement.
• Discretion in handling patient, hospital and clinical partner information.
• Comfort operating at executive and board‑level discussions.
