Project Officer – Community Development (Imo State)

About the role

SpringAid International Development Nigeria is seeking motivated Project Officers to support a Sida‑funded entrepreneurship and mentorship programme for youth and women in Imo State. The role involves coordinating field activities, facilitating trainings, and ensuring timely delivery of project interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement project activities in assigned communities.
• Mobilise and recruit participants in an inclusive and transparent manner.
• Facilitate mentorship activities, trainings, workshops, and community engagements.
• Manage logistics, budgeting support, and procurement of training materials.
• Build strong relationships with community leaders, mentors, and local authorities.
• Support data collection, reporting, and documentation of success stories.
• Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and SAID policies.
• Promote sustainability and continuous learning among participants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Business or related fields.
• 2–4 years’ experience in community development or donor‑funded projects.
• Fluency in English; Igbo preferred.

Required skills

• KoboCollect or similar digital data collection tools.
• Experience with other digital data tools.
