Project Manager – Rice Fortification (PRiFN)

About the role

TechnoServe is seeking a senior‑level Project Manager to lead the 18‑month Promoting Rice Fortification in Nigeria (PRiFN) project in Kano State. The role oversees all aspects of project delivery, from team recruitment to donor reporting, ensuring fortified rice reaches 200,000 school children.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall implementation and management of the PRiFN project.
• Develop detailed work plans, budgets, and monitoring & evaluation frameworks.
• Oversee project finances, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
• Report progress, results, and financials to the donor on a regular basis.
• Recruit, onboard, and supervise internal project team members.
• Conduct rapid assessments of target communities and build a stakeholder database across the rice value chain.
• Drive operational efficiencies and introduce innovative delivery approaches.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with the donor and ensure project objectives are met.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 5 years (60 months) of project management experience.
• Proven experience managing agriculture or nutrition‑focused projects, preferably with fortified food initiatives.
• Strong background in budgeting, financial oversight, and donor reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
